Divine Vanilla Cake Recipe

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

  • 2–3 tbsp milk or cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: ½ tsp almond extract (for extra depth of flavor)

Instructions

  1. Get Ready:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.

  2. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.

  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
    Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together.

  5. Mix Wet and Dry:
    Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk. Begin and finish with the flour mixture. Mix gently until smooth—avoid overmixing.
