Instructions
1. Make the Cream
-
In a saucepan off the heat, whisk together the condensed milk, cornstarch, and regular milk until the cornstarch dissolves completely.
-
Add the powdered milk and mix until smooth.
-
Turn the heat to medium and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a smooth, creamy custard.
-
Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
2. Prepare the Strawberries
-
Dice the strawberries into small pieces.
-
Once the cream has fully cooled, gently fold the strawberries into the mixture.
3. Assemble the Dessert
-
Spread a generous layer of cream on the bottom of a medium glass dish.
-
Quickly dip the Maizena cookies in milk and arrange a layer over the cream.
-
Continue alternating layers of cream and cookies, finishing with a layer of cream on top.
4. Add the Final Touch
-
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the layers can set and the flavors meld together.
-
Before serving, decorate with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or whole strawberries.
