Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, water, onion soup base, salt, and pepper.

  3. Grease a casserole dish, then layer the sliced potatoes on the bottom.

  4. Place the pork chops on top of the potatoes.

  5. Pour the creamy mixture evenly over everything. Add fried onions on top if desired.

  6. Cover with foil and bake for 2–2.5 hours. Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to allow browning.
