Cook the Beef
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat, then add the taco seasoning and water. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes until fully coated and flavorful. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. -
Assemble the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, Cheddar cheese, red onion, black beans, and corn. Toss gently to mix. -
Add the Beef and Doritos
Add the seasoned beef to the salad and toss until evenly distributed. Just before serving, fold in the crushed Doritos to keep them crunchy. -
Dress and Serve
Drizzle the Catalina dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat. Add a squeeze of lime juice if desired for a fresh, zesty finish. -
Enjoy
Serve immediately while the Doritos are crisp and the flavors are at their best.
