This recipe for Classic Flan is a silky smooth variant of the traditional Latin American dessert. This is an incredibly basic flan recipe. Plus, it has the greatest feel and is silky smooth.
My relation with this dish hasn’t always been rosy. I ate it reluctantly as a child. As we go out to dining, someone in our family would still order this flan and he loved it so much. I could never get into it. I tried it over and over in the hopes of falling in love, but it never worked out. I’m not sure what to think.
I grew. My tastes also changed, and I can’t get enough of it now. I think it’s one of the most magical desserts ever, so I’m very looking forward to us talking about this Latin American favorite!

When pounding the egg mixture, I added the hot sweet vanilla milk over it mixing well.
Step 6:
Then, I returned it to the saucepan and whisked it continuously with a wooden spatula over a very low flame.

I simmered for a few one to two minutes, until the sauce was thickened somewhat.
Step 8:
After that, I poured the mixture over the dough in the mold and baked it for around 40 minutes at 180 degrees C.
Step 9:
For the last 5 minutes, I covered it with foil, and let it cool completely before I removed it from the mold.
