Instructions:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is well-browned and the onion is translucent. Be sure to break up the beef into crumbles as it cooks.
Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients well to ensure even distribution of flavors.
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld, and the mixture will thicken.
While the Sloppy Joe mixture is simmering, you can toast slices of bread or hamburger buns. This will add a nice texture to your final dish.
Once the Sloppy Joe mixture has thickened, spoon a generous amount onto a slice of toasted bread or the bottom half of a hamburger bun.
If desired, top with another slice of bread or the other half of the hamburger bun.
Serve immediately for a delicious and hearty meal.
Enjoy your homemade Sloppy Joes!
