Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter an 8, 9, or 10-inch baking dish.

Place the sliced apples in the prepared baking dish.

Toss them with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until evenly coated.

In a separate bowl, combine oat flour, rolled oats, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt.

Add the melted butter and mix until crumbly using a fork or your fingertips.

Step 6

Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the apples.

Step 7

Bake for 30-32 minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Step 8

Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat.

Extra Tip: If the butter is too firm to mix well with the dry ingredients, microwave the mixture for 10-15 seconds to soften it.
