Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined—don’t overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Drop 1/4 cup (or less for smaller fritters) of batter onto the baking sheet, ensuring there’s space between each fritter.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the center is set.

Step 8

Let the fritters cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Step 9

Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
