Swedish Meatballs with Egg Noodles
There’s something irresistibly comforting about a hearty, one-pot meal that brings together rich flavors and simple ingredients. This Swedish Meatballs with Egg Noodles recipe embodies that cozy appeal, offering a delightful twist on classic comfort food. Perfectly suited for busy weeknights or leisurely weekends, this dish is a true crowd-pleaser that combines the savory goodness of tender meatballs with the satisfying heartiness of egg noodles, all enveloped in a creamy, flavorful gravy.
Crafted in the Instant Dutch Oven, this recipe is designed to minimize fuss and maximize flavor. The process begins with the creation of perfectly seasoned meatballs, blending ground beef and pork with aromatic spices, fresh onions, and a touch of nutmeg and cloves. These meatballs are then browned to perfection, either under the broiler or in the Dutch Oven, ensuring a rich, caramelized exterior.
The gravy, a luxurious blend of butter, flour, sour cream, and beef broth, is the heart of this dish. It’s stirred to a silky smooth consistency and seasoned with salt, pepper, and parsley. Once the meatballs are added to this velvety sauce, the uncooked egg noodles are stirred in, allowing them to absorb the flavors as they cook. The result is a satisfying, all-in-one meal that’s both creamy and savory, with each bite offering a taste of traditional Swedish comfort.
