Two teaspoons plus one-third cup of apple juice or cider.
Guidelines:
Heat the oven to 400°F before using it. Spray a little nonstick cooking spray on a baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
In a big bowl, mix the sugar and melted butter well. Put the egg, vanilla, and applesauce together and mix until smooth.
Mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until they are just mixed together. Carefully mix in the diced apples.
Put one spoonful of batter on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.
Put in the oven for 10 minutes, then take it out and set the broiler to high.
Mix the powdered sugar with the cider or apple juice until it becomes a smooth glaze.
Cover the warm pieces of fritters with glaze, letting it run down the edges. Broil the dish for 2 to 4 minutes, or until the glaze begins to bubble and turn into caramel, making sure to move the pan around frequently.
Take out of the oven and generously spread the remaining glaze on top of the fritters.
Before serving, allow the glaze to harden for fifteen minutes.
