BETTER THAN TAKEOUT FRIED RICE

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

– 3 Cups.Of cooked rice (preferably chilled).

– 2 Tbsp.Of vegetable oil.

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 small diced onion.

– 2 diced carrots.

– 1 Cup.Of frozen peas.

– 2 large eggs, lightly beaten.

– 3 Tbsp.Of soy sauce.

– 1 Tbsp.Of oyster sauce (optional).

– 1 Tsp.Of sesame oil.

– 2 green onions, thinly sliced.

– Salt and pepper to taste.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

If you have not already done so, cook the rice according to the instructions on the package and allow it to chill in the refrigerator. Rice that has been chilled is ideal for fried rice because it prevents it from becoming glutinous.

2nd Step

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion to the pan and cook until aromatic and translucent.

3rd Step

Cook the carrots for approximately 2 minutes, or until they begin to tender. Then, add the frozen peas and simmer for an additional 2 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

4th Step

Move the vegetables to one side of the pan and pour the eggs into the resulting space. After scrambling the eggs until they are fully cooked, combine them with the vegetables.

5th Step

Add the cooked rice that has been refrigerated to the pan and stir-fry everything together, making sure that the rice and vegetables are thoroughly combined.

6th Step

Drizzle the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using) over the rice and combine to distribute the condiments uniformly. Continue to stir-fry the rice until it is thoroughly heated and evenly coated with the condiments for a few more minutes.

7th Step

Season the sautéed rice to suit with salt and pepper. Because soy sauce already imparts salinity to the dish, use salt sparingly.

8th Step

Remove the skillet from the heat and drizzle the fried rice with sesame oil. The sesame oil enhances the dish’s aroma and flavor. To add a fresh and vibrant addition to the fried rice, garnish it with thinly sliced green scallions.
