Butter Buttermilk Biscuits

 

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour.

1 tablespoon baking powder.

1 teaspoon salt.

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces.

3/4 cup buttermilk.

Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

Step 2

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

Step 3

Cut in the butter until the mixture looks like coarse sand.

Step 4

Pour in buttermilk and stir until dough forms.

Step 5

Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.

Step 6

Use a 2-inch cutter to cut out biscuits and place on a baking sheet.

Step 7

Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
