Originally, this dish was inspired by a popular dinner recipe made with store-bought crescent dough stuffed with a chicken filling and then baked to perfection. While it’s a fantastic recipe, it’s not always practical for every situation, like when you’re out camping. This adapted version, however, retains all the flavors and textures we love but with the added convenience of refrigerator biscuits. This means you can whip up this casserole quickly and with ease, whether you’re cooking at home or in a more rustic setting.
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked, chopped chicken, or canned chicken.
2 cans cream of chicken soup.
1 1/2 cups sour cream.
1 cup grated cheese.
2 tablespoons ranch dressing mix.
1/4 cup cooked, chopped bacon.
1 (12 oz) can refrigerator Grands Jr Biscuits.
1 additional cup grated cheese for topping the casserole.
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the chicken, soup, sour cream, 1 cup grated cheese, ranch dressing mix, and bacon.
Step 3
Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Toss the biscuit pieces with the chicken mixture.
