1. Season the Roast
Generously rub salt and black pepper all over the chuck roast. Place it in your slow cooker.
2. Prepare the Gravy
In a small bowl, whisk together the Italian, Ranch, and brown gravy mixes with 1 cup of water until smooth.
3. Combine & Add Vegetables (Optional)
Pour the seasoning mixture evenly over the roast. If desired, arrange baby potatoes, carrots, or onions around the meat.
4. Slow Cook
Cover and cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, until the meat is tender and flavorful.
5. Baste & Shred
Occasionally spoon the juices over the roast to keep it moist. Once fork-tender, shred or slice the meat.
6. Serve
Make sure any added vegetables are fully cooked. Serve the roast with plenty of the rich, “three-envelope” gravy for a comforting meal.
