How to Make Cuppa Cuppa Cake
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously butter a 9-inch pie dish or round cake pan and set aside.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, and fruit cocktail along with its juice. Stir gently until everything is just mixed—do not overmix.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
-
Cut the remaining butter into small pieces and scatter them over the top of the batter.
-
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are lightly bubbling.
-
Remove from the oven and let the cake cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Spoon it into bowls, add ice cream or whipped cream, and enjoy a true Southern classic that proves sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. 🍰✨
