Ground Beef Casserole

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until fully browned and crumbly. Drain off any excess grease.

  2. Stir in the garlic salt, salt, sugar, and tomato sauce. Mix well and allow the sauce to simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cover.

  3. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.

  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the diced onion, sour cream, and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

  6. Spread half of the cooked noodles evenly in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Layer with half of the sour cream mixture, followed by half of the beef mixture. Repeat the layers once more.

  7. Sprinkle the top generously with shredded Cheddar cheese.

  8. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then serve warm and enjoy.
