THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
2 Cups.Of all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp.Of baking powder
1/2 Tsp.Of salt
1 Cup.Of warm water
Vegetable oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS:
1st Step
Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing basin using a whisk until the ingredients are well blended.
2nd Step
While stirring constantly, gradually incorporate the heated water into the dry ingredients. Mixing should continue until a dough that is soft and just slightly sticky is formed.
3rd Step
After turning the dough out onto a surface that has been dusted with flour, knead it for a few minutes in order to make it smooth. Put it back in the bowl, cover it with a fresh towel, and let it sit for approximately half an hour.
4th Step
Fill a deep skillet or frying pan with at least 1 inch of vegetable oil by pouring in enough oil to cover the bottom. Bring the temperature up to around 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) over medium-high heat.
5th Step
After it has rested, the dough should be cut into pieces about the size of golf balls. First, form each half into a ball, and then, using your hands, press it into a rectangle with a thickness of approximately a quarter of an inch.
7th Step
Put the dough, which has been flattened, carefully into the heated oil. Fry each side for approximately two to three minutes, or until it reaches a golden brown color, turning it over halfway through the cooking process with tongs.
8th Step
After it has finished cooking, take the frybread from the pan very gently and lay it on a dish that has been lined with paper towels so that any leftover oil may drain out. Give it some time to gradually calm down.
