1 (16 oz) box dried navy beans.
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes.
½ lb chopped ham.
1 chopped onion.
2 chopped celery stalks.
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
1 minced clove garlic.
1 cube chicken bouillon.
1 tbsp dried parsley.
2 tsp garlic powder.
1 bay leaf.
6 cups water (3 for cooking, 3 added later).
1 tsp salt.
¼ tsp black pepper.
Instructions:
Step 1
Gather all your ingredients.

In a large stockpot, combine the navy beans, diced tomatoes, chopped ham, onion, celery, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, chicken bouillon, parsley, garlic powder, and bay leaf.

Bring the mixture to a boil. Then, reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer on low for 2 hours.
Step 4
After 2 hours, stir in the salt and pepper. Add 3 additional cups of water.
Step 5
Continue simmering, covered, for another 2 hours.
Step 6
Remove the bay leaf before serving.
