Skip the stovetop hassle! Air fryer poached eggs are fast, easy, and mess-free, making a delicious and healthy alternative to fried eggs. No more standing over hot water or cleaning up spills!
Ingredients:
-
2 large eggs
-
Oil spray (Ghee butter is ideal)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
6 tablespoons hot water
-
Toast (optional)
Instructions:
-
Preheat: Set your air fryer to 350°F (177°C) on the air fry or air crisp mode. Let it warm up for about 3 minutes.
-
Prepare Ramekins: Lightly spray the inside of each ramekin with oil. Use your finger or a brush to coat the edges evenly to prevent sticking.
-
Add Water: Pour 3-4 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
-
Add Eggs: Crack one egg into each ramekin carefully, keeping the yolk intact.
-
Cook: Place the ramekins inside the air fryer basket or tray. Cook for 5-7 minutes, adjusting the time to your preferred yolk consistency (see guide below).
-
Serve: Remove ramekins carefully. Use a rubber spatula to gently lift the eggs out; if stuck, run a knife around the edges first. Season with salt and pepper, and enjoy on their own or over toast.
