Savory Potato and Mushroom Cake

 

Instructions:

Step 1

Mix mashed potatoes, melted butter, milk, beaten egg, and salt in a bowl.

Step 2

Slowly incorporate flour until a soft dough is formed.

Step 3

Sauté onion until translucent, then add carrot and cook until golden. Set aside.

Step 4

Cook mushrooms until golden brown. Season with salt and garlic.

Step 5

Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.

Step 6

Spread potato dough in the dish.

Step 7

Layer with half of the mushrooms, then onion-carrot mixture, and remaining mushrooms.

Step 8

Wrap the dish with foil and bake it for 30 minutes.

Step 9

Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for 7-10 minutes until golden.

Step 10

Sprinkle chopped dill over the cake.

Step 11

Slice and serve hot. Enjoy!
