The Ultimate Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Discover how easy and mess-free poached eggs can be with your air fryer! This method is fast, healthy, and a fantastic alternative to traditional frying—no stovetop fuss or water cleanup required.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs

  • Oil spray (Ghee butter recommended)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 6 tablespoons hot water

  • Toast (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (177°C) using the air fry or air crisp setting. Let it warm up for 3 minutes.

  2. Prepare the ramekins by spraying them lightly with oil. Use your finger or a brush to coat the sides well to prevent sticking.

  3. Add hot water: Pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.

  4. Add the eggs: Crack one egg gently into each ramekin, keeping the yolk whole.

  5. Cook: Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket or tray. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, adjusting the time depending on how you like your yolks (see timing guide below).

  6. Serve: Carefully remove the ramekins. If the eggs stick, loosen edges gently with a knife, then lift them out with a rubber spatula. Serve on their own or over toast. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
