 
Instructions:
- 
Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper. 
- 
Place the roast into your slow cooker. 
- 
In a small bowl, combine the three seasoning packets. 
- 
Add 1 cup of water to the seasoning mix and whisk until smooth. 
- 
Pour the seasoning mixture evenly over the roast. 
- 
Cover and cook on high for about 4 hours, basting occasionally with the juices. 
- 
If using, add baby potatoes, carrots, and onions to the slow cooker. Check that vegetables are tender before serving.
