Turkish cuisine is one of my greatest favorites, and this dish is just perfect for me. Turkish food is one of the many cuisines from across the globe that I am most interested in learning about and trying. Turkish food competes with all other cuisines due to its sparing use of spices while yet achieving intense flavor.

The fact that this dish is so simple to put together is perhaps its greatest strength. You don’t need to spend too much time kneading. The time it takes for it to rise is the longest period, yet during that time you are free to do whatever you choose.

The fact that this recipe may be used with a wide variety of ingredients is perhaps its greatest strength. In most situations, you would combine it with hummus while serving it. Personally, I like eating it with curries the most. I know that’s less than how it’s usually served, but it goes so well! You could even use it as the bottom crust for your pizza. This recipe may be used in an unlimited number of different ways.

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

500 grams.Of Plain Flour.

1 small spoon.Of Salt.

1 large spoon.Of Yeast.

Warm Water; I used 150 ml.

Warm Milk; 150 ml.

3 large spoons.Of Olive Oil.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Combine the yeast and salt with the flour in a large bowl. Mix in the flour. After adding the oil, milk, and warm water to the bowl, mix the ingredients until a dough is formed.

2nd Step

Then, place a towel over the dough and let it rest, and rise somewhere warm for at least half an hour.

3rd Step

After that, divide the dough into six equal pieces, then roll each of those sections into a ball of dough. And roll each ball of dough out to a thickness of about one centimeter.

4th Step

Cook the bread for a few minutes on a big crepe pan, until bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the bread.

5th Step

When bubbles appear on the surface of the bread, it’s time to turn it over and let it cook for a little longer.

6th Step

Take the pan from the heat and brush it with either butter or oil. …and serve immediately with some hummus, and then enjoy the deliciousness!
