For the Glaze:
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
2–3 tbsp milk
-
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
-
Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the diced apples.
-
Using a spoon, drop mounds of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping each into a small round.
-
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
While the fritters bake, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
-
Once the fritters are slightly cooled, drizzle or dip them in the glaze and allow it to set.
